Happy International Women’s Day to everyone!

What a wonderful day celebrating International Women’s Day at the Abigail Stuart House in Olympia! I had the honor of helping my mom, the founder of Women’s Dignity School, share how she began this work nearly three decades ago in Mali and what inspired her to bring it to Washington.

We also recognized a local changemaker, Elizabeth Hart MacLean, for her incredible work in building community and consistently uplifting local small businesses and nonprofits. People like her remind us how powerful community support can be.

Gatherings like this matter. They bring people together, strengthen our community, uplift minority voices, and highlight the resilience and leadership of women.

A special shout-out to Cecile Malik for graciously serving as the MC of the event. Your energy and support helped make the day even more special. Another special shout-out to Dr. Evelyn Le Ellis - Hormone & Longevity Medicine for sharing the Vietnamese song “Bông Hồng Mừng Cô”, which celebrates International Women’s Day in Vietnam .

Happy International Women’s Day to everyone!
